![]() I stopped ever thinking Amd would fix these issues and its well known at Never had this issue with my old haswell build that i used to own and that was on a cheapo board(60$) before Ryzen came out i bought Ryzen day 1. ![]() I also needed to restart my PC to fix it what i found that fixed it mostly was just to give up on my board's USB's except for ONE and i have it used to my monitor which has a powered USB hub built in now the issues are mostly fixed also i noticed that using the USB front headers on my case fixes these issues for my external drives. Owned 2 PSU's in this time since Ryzen a Corsair 750 Watt RM series and now a EVGA 750 Watt G3. Owned Ryzen 1700-2700X and now a 3700x on a X370 Taichi board and also used to own a B350 Tomahawk board I want to add that ever since owning a Ryzen based system i had issues with this i have 2 external hard drives and a DAC and a RGB corsair keyboard and RGB logitech mouse. ![]() If I have my headphones and mic connected directly to the mobo 3.5mm inputs and use my internal sound card nothing of the above happens. Some times the issue becomes even worse because it results in a black screen and a restart. To solve the issue I have to disconnect the USB and connect it again which fixes the issue but only temporarily. If I open a game to play then suddenly after some time (30-40 mins) I am either having crackling noise in my headphones or my friends can hear this crackling noise through my mic, both of which are hooked up with my G6 sound card. The biggest issues I have right now is when I have both the Creative G6 and my external hard drive connected. I thought that it was some finicky issue with windows and did not paid too much attention as it happened only a couple times after. It does actually, as what you are reporting was actually the same thing that happened to me the first time I realized having an issue, before I hooked up any external hard disk or sound card. Update 3: Thanking everyone who's reporting in, either having the issue or not your feedback is important! Update 2: I have also used the AMD reporting tool to submit a ticket for my issue, so I would advise anyone who is having an x370 or B350 board to also do the same. Also tried different cables (since some suggesting it may be the issue) in addition to different USB backside ports. Update 1: Just to clarify, the problem became more prominent when I used the external sound card (DAC/AMP) from Creative. Hence, requesting all users of X370 and B350 boards to report if they are also facing the same USB issue, so we can request AMD to check the possibility providing us also with a relevant AGESA update. I reverted back my PBO to disabled and RAM OC as well, did a reset to default in BIOS. Hardware side, I checked using different ports at a time for each device, using the 3.1 Gen 2 port for my sound card and USB 2.O for mouse and keyboard, removed the hard drive to isolate the problem. I even did a new fresh install of windows. Software side I first updated all drivers (including those of sound card), uninstalled and installed again, checked windows integrity files, run memory diagnostics, chkdsk etc, re-installed chipset drivers etc. Even worse I started even having BS which after restarts resulted my PC not recognizing ANY USB port after that and needed a new full shutdown. The problem then became unbearable, with crackling sounds and more disconnects at any given point during gaming to my sound card and ALL USB devices after that. Then I added an external sound card (Creative G6) to my system, which uses USB to the PC for both connection and power. Since I bought an external hard drive, the problem started happening more and more with the drive sometimes not identified at all, again especially after restarts. I did not have any other connected devices to my usb ports, so the issue was not that big for me at the time. I always had weird disconnections to my usb and keyboard, especially after restarts which I always attributed to the PBO and RAM manual OC I was having. When I initially read all the complaints regarding the USB issue many face on X570 boards, I immediately identified that the problems I was also facing with my Asus Strix X370-F were not isolated to my self only. TLDR: Kindly requesting all users of X370 and B350 boards to report if they are also facing the same USB issues acknowledged already for to X470/570 and B450/B550 boards, so we can request AMD to also examine the possibility issuing an AGESA update for us as well. We may have a solution to the issue from AMD! Check here.
